Tionesta, PA. (June 1, 2023)- Weakland's Mechanic Shop and CS Pulling Promotions partnered to host one of the largest spring events at their venue this past May. With over 90 hooks and 1,400+ fans, this was the largest attended spring pull at the venue.
The Weakland's sponsored "Super Pro" tractors hit the track after competing just one week earlier at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Smithfield, OH. Colton Zundel took home the first-place prize in the IH called the "Steel City Smoker" out of New Alexandria, PA. He ran 341.90 feet with the second-place tractor not far behind. Donnie Hebenthal was having mechanical issues with his tractor and stopped at 335.17 feet.
The 466 Hot Farm Tractor class did not disappoint with the top 2 tractors within inches of each other. Brady Shaw took the win in the IH called "Against the Grain" with Jeremy Bayer not far behind in his brand-new tractor out of West Middlesex, PA. PJ Kellar was campaigning a new tractor as well and proved he can be competitive with just 2 hooks on the tractor before hooking at Weakland's. He had mechanical issues and spun out at 313.12.
The Sportsman Street Diesel class was one of the largest we have ever seen with over 23 hooks. Numerous CS Pulling Promotions points members competed at this event including the only female driver registered for points. Brintey Bishoff took the win after competing against 23 of the best street trucks around. She is currently leading in points with her Chevy called "Boosted Beauty 2.0". Anthony Byrne and MJ Keller took the 2nd and 3rd positions with Robert Pangallo in the 7th.
The Apex Diesel sponsored 2.6 Pro Street Diesel Trucks were added to the schedule just days before the event but that did not deter competitors from showing up. Jesse Warren of Warren Diesel Injection and Mike and Amanda Weakland of Weakland's Mechanic Shop & Wreckers graciously donated the purse for these competitors. Thirteen of some of the best-running Pro Street Trucks on the east coast came out to compete. Out of the 13 trucks, Ron King came out on top with the 6.0 Ford Power Stroke called the "Problem Child". Tom Berti was campaigning a brand new truck called "White Trucks Matter 2.0" and placed second after only having one run on the truck before coming to this event. The brand new truck called "Workin' On" driven by Matt Diehl did not disappoint. He placed 4th after running at Destination 300 in Clarks Mills, PA. with Northwest PA Pullers.
The crowd favorite Pro Street Semis were the last division to compete. Audie Pentz brought out his Mack to compete with 7 other top-running semis. Ed (Zig) Ziglen brought out the 4.1 Semi called "Death Row" to put on a test hook after changing out some parts earlier in the week.
CS Pulling Promotions will return to Weaklands Mechanic Shop for the huge 2 day Octoberfest event later in the season. Visit our website and click the "Schedule" tab to see where CS Pulling Promotions is pulling next.
